Mike O’Donnell is currently the President of Harbinger Capital Management. O’Donnell has a vast background in college athletics, fundraising, TV broadcasting, sales, and business consulting.
Before Mike O’Donnell started Harbinger Capital Management he was the founder of the successful non-profit BizLife Education. BizLife Education, located in Central Florida, was a unique business education platform that focused on educating US Military Veterans and impoverished individuals on the essentials of business and entrepreneurialism. In it’s first year it educated over 280 students, secured 9 Central Florida partnerships, and helped start 3 new companies.
Prior to BizLife Education, O’Donnell worked in a number of areas inside the University of Central Florida athletics department, including Major Gifts fundraising, Chief of Staff, Director of Basketball Operations, and Varsity Knights Alumni Director.
O’Donnell also works as a business consultant for startup companies. He has worked closely with innovative companies such as Pro Concept Gear, revolutionary pocket compression athletics apparel, and MilleBot, portable 3-D printer packaged in shipping containers.
O’Donnell was a standout point guard for the University of Central Florida. He currently holds 6 top ten records in assists, steals, and 3-pointers at UCF. Since his playing days he also does elite level basketball skill training at the professional and amateur level.
Mike O’Donnell earned a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences from the University of Central Florida and a Masters of Sports Administration.
As a college basketball color analyst for ESPN he continues to stay close to the game of basketball.
Mike O’Donnell currently resides in Orlando, FL with his wife Annie and newborn daughter Addison.
